Building enterprise workforce software across backend services, frontend workflows, automated testing, and production operations.
- Led an API performance initiative that reduced average duration from approximately 10 seconds to 200 milliseconds.
- Delivered effective-dated worker types end to end, including the complete backend API and 90+ automated tests.
- Shipped AI capabilities for shift incentivization to hundreds of enterprise customers, including workforces exceeding 100,000 employees.

01Effective-dated worker types
Architected the capability from the data layer through production rollout: SQL schema changes and migrations, Redis cache updates, internal configuration, Java/Spring services, and Angular/AngularJS interfaces. Authored the complete backend API surface and 90+ automated tests covering UI/API behavior, integration paths, migrations, and regressions. Used LaunchDarkly to canary the release to existing enterprise customers.
02API performance & reliability
Owned root-cause analysis, Java/Spring Boot implementation, test updates, technical documentation, senior and architect review, monitoring, and production validation. The same performance initiative reduced both latency and timeout-related failures; its before-and-after results are below.
UKG Dimensions API performance initiative
| Measure | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Average API duration | ~10 seconds | ~200 ms |
| Calls taking over 5 seconds | ~4,000 | 5 |
| Maximum API duration | ~120 seconds | ~5 seconds |
| Related timeout-driven HTTP 500 errors | ~20,000 | 0 |
Approximate before-and-after results from the same initiative.
03AI-powered shift incentivization
Delivered new capabilities across backend services, SQL schema and Redis changes, a shared Angular/AngularJS/TypeScript frontend microservice, and UI/API automation. Worked with technical leads from design to production rollout. These capabilities supported hundreds of customers, including large enterprise workforces exceeding 100,000 employees.
04Two generations of enterprise UI
Extended a shared frontend microservice across modern Angular and long-lived AngularJS. Built scheduling and shift-incentivization features, API integrations, and workflow improvements. Resolved responsive layouts, browser-specific defects, and legacy compatibility issues while shipping safely across both UI generations.
05Production debugging & observability
Investigated distributed-system defects using Splunk, Grafana, Datadog, heap dumps, thread dumps, and tenant-level telemetry. Built Splunk dashboards to track latency, identify regressions, and validate releases. Coordinated with dependent teams across time zones to resolve retail, logistics, and enterprise customer issues. Closed up to 10 defects per week while checking recurring reports against production evidence.
06Developer tools & team contribution
Contributed across two major epics and 12+ engineering stories spanning performance, reliability, and production stability. Built internal tools and AI-assisted workflows for debugging and documentation. Created the team’s first hot-reloadable Java WFM backend prototype at an internal hackathon, and onboarded and mentored new hires on architecture, testing, and production workflows.
Founder / CTO
RentalHunt
Mar 2022 — Jan 2026 · Hands-on · Part-time
Founded and built a rental marketplace for tenants and landlords. Owned product, architecture, engineering, infrastructure, and day-to-day production operations.
- Grew the marketplace to 2,000+ monthly active users, 50K+ visitors, and 100+ paid users.
- Built rental search, tenant applications, landlord dashboards, listing management, profile verification, subscriptions, and internal admin tools.
- Created AI-assisted lead-generation and sales-support workflows that produced 5,000+ qualified leads.

01The tenant & landlord experience
Built both sides of the marketplace, from rental search and tenant applications to listing management and landlord dashboards. Delivered profile verification, responsive interfaces, and role-based access for tenants, landlords, and administrators.
02Architecture, infrastructure & operations
Led full-stack architecture and production delivery across React/Next.js, Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Firebase, Stripe, and cloud infrastructure. Managed the platform beyond feature delivery, including database optimization, deployment choices, and production operations. Reduced operating costs through lean architecture and a more efficient database and deployment model.
03Payments & entitlements
Implemented Stripe subscriptions, checkout flows, paid-feature controls, and backend entitlement logic. Connected the customer-facing payment experience with administrative workflows for subscriptions, pricing, and access.
04Internal products
Built admin products for managing users, listings, tenants, landlords, subscriptions, pricing, and operational processes. These tools supported the everyday work behind the public marketplace.
05AI-assisted growth workflows
Created AI-assisted scraping, lead-generation, and sales-support workflows that produced more than 5,000 qualified leads from competitor platforms.
